The B.Sc. Electronic Media โ Specialization in Animation & VFX is a comprehensive three-year degree programme designed for students who aspire to build successful careers in Animation, Visual Effects (VFX), Gaming, Film, Television, OTT platforms, Advertising, and Digital Media. The programme combines artistic creativity with technical
expertise, enabling students to master the complete production pipeline from concept development to final visual output.
Throughout six semesters, students receive practical training in Graphic Design, Video Editing, Motion Graphics, 2D Animation, 3D Product Design, Character Animation, Visual Effects, CGI, Compositing, and Professional Production Workflows. The curriculum emphasizes project-based learning, live assignments, industry-standard software, internships, and portfolio development, ensuring graduates are industry-ready with strong technical and creative skills. .
Develop professional creative skills in graphic designing, branding, typography, illustration, print media and digital visual communication. Build a strong design foundation before moving to animation and multimedia.
The second semester introduces students to professional video editing, motion graphics, digital storytelling, photography, and visual communication. Students learn how to create engaging video content, edit professional videos, design motion graphics, and produce creative presentations using industry-standard software.
The third semester marks the transition into professional animation and 3D production. Students learn the principles of 2D animation while mastering 3D product modeling, lighting, texturing, rendering, and visualization. Through practical projects, they create animated content and realistic product designs for commercial and industrial applications.

The fourth semester focuses on creating realistic digital characters and bringing them to life through professional animation techniques. Students learn character modeling, texturing, rigging, skinning, facial animation, and acting-based animation while understanding the complete character production workflow used in animation studios, gaming companies, and film production.
The fifth semester is dedicated to advanced Visual Effects (VFX) production and CGI integration. Students gain expertise in compositing, chroma keying, motion tracking, camera tracking, matchmoving, particle simulations, and digital effects using professional software. The semester focuses on creating cinematic visual effects used in films, television, OTT content, and advertising.
The final semester prepares students for successful careers in the animation and VFX industry through live production projects, studio workflows, internships, and portfolio development. Students create professional demo reels, collaborate on team projects, develop freelancing skills, and receive placement training to confidently enter the creative industry.
